Hello, I'm Andy Esbenshade!
And I'd like to tell you a little about my background and why I would be a good person to represent you, if you are buying or selling your home or commercial property. To begin with, I have been a resident of Lancaster County all my life with the exception of a year in London, England, and a year in Northern New Mexico. There is something about Lancaster County that brings you back. I've lived in Lancaster City since I was 11 years old and still think it's the best place in the world to be.
My wife, Lisa and I live in a 130-year-old Victorian home in Lancaster's West End. I've always had a soft spot in my heart for Lancaster City homes and one of the greatest things about them is that they still are one of the best values in the region. (Not to mention having lots of character in each room! And maybe even a surprise feature like an old gas lamp outlet in the wall!) As you can see from the photo of my great-greats "Daniel & Elizabeth" on my Home Page, our family history goes back seven generations, with a slight change in the spelling of our name along the way, in Lancaster County. (And Elizabeth's family was here even before Daniel's). Being a life-long resident with many ties here has given me a thorough knowledge of the area and many friends and contacts.
When I started my career in Real Estate in 1988, I chose to work with Coldwell Banker because they have a wide variety of services to offer to my Buyers & Sellers. The fact that they have always been the most progressive company in the region was also a factor in my decision, and I've never regretted my choice. Coldwell Banker has grown to be one of the largest, most comprehensive Real Estate companies in Pennsylvania and my business has grown along with it.
Treating my clients as Friends, with Courtesy and Honesty, is my hallmark.
And my list of satisfied customers and repeat clients gets larger every year.
For a sample of comments from several of the people I have helped in the past, please see my Testimonials Page.
Enjoying all the varied aspects of this business, like I do, makes me feel very fortunate to have had so many opportunities to make people happy. Some of the projects I've been involved with range from the large - running new home communities, such as Gable Park Woods, Manor Oaks, Breezwood at Blue Rock, Farmbrook in Mt Joy, and Mallard Ponds in Manheim - to the specific - finding an older home near Downtown Lancaster for a couple relocating from several thousand miles away or helping a newlywed couple discover their first home or assisting a family in selling their "bursting at the seams" house and buying a new home in the suburbs - to the commercial - selling restaurants, leasing office space, or industrial sales/purchases, or land sales.
Some of my professional activities include:
1. Serving as a Board Member of the Lancaster Housing Opportunity Partnership (LHOP), which was involved in 1 out of 4 city sales in 2000;
2. Being part of the Building Industry Association, where I have served on several committees; and
3. Joining the Commercial Industrial Brokers Council 3 years ago.
My through knowledge of Lancaster City and Lancaster County gives me an edge on helping buyers and sellers find the right property for them and, at the same time, providing them with some little known, but interesting, insights and facts about our history. If I can assist you in any way, please feel free to call or e-mail me.
Andy's persistence and good communication went above and beyond.
